- SWIMMING
Krk is the island of 'blue flags'. There are public pebbly beaches, hidden coves, beaches with water activities, even special beaches – for dogs.
- CYCLING
Most of the walking trails on the island of Krk can also be used for cycling.
Nowadays, more attention is given to active holidays and cycling as well due to living in the fast lane and day-to-day stress. Apart from recreation, the aim is to prolong the tourist season.
Many different events take place on the island of Krk. Some of them include 'Spring on the Wheels', an event whose aim is to promote Krk's cycling routes which are suitable for scooters, bikes and quads, and 'I Love Autumn – Bodul Bike', a guided recreational bike race accompanied by an entertaining programme.
Apart from cycling routes which stretch along the shore (also known as 'lungomare'), there are cycling routes which pass through the inner part of the island along with the frequent roads. Four bikes are at your disposal during your stay in Villa Mirta.
- DIVING
Today, diving is one of the most popular water sports. Many divers are attracted to the Adriatic Sea by numerous attractive locations since the Adriatic Sea is full of old ancient ships, corals and other animal and plant species. The area of the North Adriatic is well visited because of the shallower sea and luxuriant vegetation.
Diving locations (places of immersion)
- Mali Plavnik– a small island, a reef full of caves from which rocky curtains and steep cliffs come down and disappear in abyss. This is a playground for octopuses and grouper. It is also the home of the 1.5 meter long angler which can be seen here on a regular basis.

Plić Tenki became one of the most popular diving locations in the last few years because it offers diversity of flora and fauna with every single swing of your flippers from the top all the way to its deepest point at about 40 meters.
If you go boating through The Vinodol Channel, by the north-east coast of the island of Krk, towards the famous historical and tourist place of Vrbnik, you find yourself in front of cape Glavina and Kamanjak cliff, in the Srščica cove you will notice winding dry stone walls. Plić
Tenki is situated in the centre of a particularly wide cove right below these walls at about a hundred meters from the end.
This location is a true heaven for underwater photographers and video cameramen due to its diversity and richness. A great number of foreign divers say it is the most interesting location in the local waters. There is even a monumental board placed by Italian divers to prove this.
